Vlady art inspired by the Digital World

Lately, Italian street based artist Vlady, worked under a bridge in central Stockholm, on two sentences coming from the computer world. In a series of interventions he uses the computer language, focusing on This site uses cookies and Temporary files!

Tristan Manco in his new book “The Stencil Graffiti Handbook” described @vlady_art work “As being overlooked by an ironic Big Brother”.

Today’s threat are not the CCTV, but the internet data. Mixing and creating confusion around the analogical/digital world is one of his favorite key; playing around the definition of true, in this “post-true” era, is central. Irony is as important as his minimal approach and nevertheless, an action of this kind has to catch by surprise without warnings, without authorization. Yet to be discussed whether sticking 250 real cookies on a wall, is “illegal”.

Vlady (aka Vladyart) is a prolific multidisciplinary artist known for his minimal, spontaneous and sociopolitical street-based works. His witty, smart and critical approach towards society and environments makes him one of the few Italian names active in this specific branch of public art (unsanctioned interventions).
