The Greek island Samos, on Karlovasi village, presented for the first time a big project that aims to create a core for street art in Europe. On the 24th and 25th of June, Artist Yiakou with the mayor and the community institution, established the first Festival of Karlovasi. The goal was not only to make Karlovasi village a better and colored place, but also to establish a new headquarter.
15 top Greek street artists create with no profit some big murals in a traditional and virgin place. As that was for the first time, the final composition of murals was united in the virgin environment of the island.
Since the beginning of June, Blaqk‘s first performance, following Billy Gee and Pupet, by the middle of the month with the artists Yiakou, b, Taxis, Same84, Dreyk the pirate, Iris AZ and Gigi and as the festival’s great weekend 24 and 25 June with the artists Ser, Simoni, Simple G, Giannakopoulos, Born, Koletsis and Barba Dee, the island celebrates the day of art and energy.
Party with color wars:
On these two major days, June 24, 25, the festival wore the gratings of graffiti and chalk on the streets, parade with cars and antique machines, colors war, dance, concert from universities, songs and parties with music for everyone! Why not? The 1st STREET ART FESTIVAL in Samos island is a fact.
They filled the place with energy and color.
