New mural by Ericailcane in Sant’Elia 2022-07-11

New mural by Ericailcane in Sant’Elia

During these days, the international street artist Ericailcane has realized a new mural in via Schiavazzi, Sant’Elia neighborhood, in front of Parco degli Anelli. In the first wall, a big cat plays stuffed made of city buildings while a little bird takes a look with a bomb in his beak. In the other side, a rat reads a newspaper and another rat dances under a nettle, a plant with benefic and valuable properties. The scene is a symbol of rebirth and regeneration, despite the intrusive human actions. The tones of blue, azure and green reflect the surrounding environment: all the shades of a sea which embrace Sant’Elia’s shoreline.

Next July 15th, the closing day of the exhibition La memoria dell’acqua, the Associazione Asteras with the partners of Cagliari Urbanfest, will host a public meeting in via Schiavazzi 79 to present the mural by Ericailcane.

With the contribution of Fondazione di Sardegna, Poste Italiane, Banca Intesa Sanpaolo, E‐Distribuzione. With the patronage of Regione Autonoma della Sardegna, Presidente del Consiglio regionale della Sardegna, Comune di Cagliari, Università degli Studi di Cagliari.

Project partners are : LILA Cagliari, Cattedra di Storia dell’Arte Contemporanea dell’Università degli Studi di Cagliari, Liceo Artistico Foiso Fois, Fondazione per l’Arte Bartoli Felter, Spazio e Movimento.
