Present Perfect Festival in Saint Petersburg 2018-09-13

Present Perfect Festival in Saint Petersburg

The Present Perfect Festival is a festival of electronic music and contemporary art which occurred for the fourth time in Saint Petersburg on July 27-29.

The 4th Present Perfect Festival was held at a new outdoor location on July 27-29.

This summer festival team started collaboration with artists who created four large-scale murals and installation on the territory of «Port Sevkabel»

Artists invited were Andrey Berger, Alexey Kio, Aleksandr Dyoma, Artem Stefanov and Ilya Grishaev.

Project’s curator and author of one of the works was Moscow artist Artem Stefanov (STFNV) — a constant participant in street art events, creator of large-scale works for OUTLINE, 4GB, GEM fest as well as events of ARMA17 and GAZGOLDER creative associations. The role of producer was entrusted to Nadia Vasyakina.

Two main motives were offered to the artists as the main concept: sound wave and marine themes. Murals on the facades, except from the black and white, are made in two main color directions — shades of the wall bricks and turquoise.

The first direction refers to the historic brick buildings on the territory of Port Sevkabel. аs for the turquoise — it explicates the water theme as an important component of space of the new festival location.

The comprehension of water and its fluidity in abstract works is combined with rhythm of the elements forming the reference to electronic music and retrofuturism.

Great project!!
