New NEVERCREW mural in Torino, Italy 2019-09-21

New NEVERCREW mural in Torino, Italy

Fade” is the latest mural intervention realized by NEVERCREW in Torino (Italy) for the “Toward 2030” Project and addressing the topic of “Responsible consumption and production”, goal n°12 from the UN’s Global Goals for sustainable development. The “Toward 2030” project is promoted by Lavazza and the city of Torino, 2019.

About the work:

This work wants to refer to carefree in two overlapping logics: the positive one of the game and the negative one of the lack of conscience and the unnatural use of resources. A carefreeness that’s about acting unaware of the large-scale repercussions of the exploitation of resources, of what precedes and follows every small action and, at the same time, a reference to the lightness of the game, to all that is now put at risk for the generations that will hold the future of the planet.
This image wants to relate the viewer both with the specific place and subject, and with a more global vision of the problem, evoking the planetary emergency we are experiencing and the position each one have or could have into it.
