These new walls were painted within the last weeks by Johannes Mundinger, as an artist in residence at Uzupio Meno Inkubatorius, in Vilnius, Lithuania.
Two murals are located at Jonas Mekas square, Vilnius, and are dedicated to Jonas Mekas ‘the godfather of American avant-garde cinema’. The walls are referring to his work in the way they were painted – just spontaneous and developing in the process – and using stills from his movies, shown in a special way the artist felt like.
The yellow, figurative wall was done in collaboration with Sophia Hirsch, the others on his own.
