”Igor” The Legend of the Confined Monster 2021-02-14

”Igor” The Legend of the Confined Monster

Igor, the monster, a street art creation, accompanied by a tale was written by french artist Olivier Rocheau on “confinement”: Igor confines himself to our place to allow us to remain free!

Igor, a sympathetic monster! (or the legend of the Confined Monster)

There are occasional legends and that of Igor could not come at a better time …

Igor is a monster. A gentle Monster as there are so many. Those who sleep peacefully under beds or in children’s wardrobes …

Igor, like monsters often, enjoys the company of men who, to his dismay, hardly pay him any attention …

Yet Igor, like all monsters have a gift. Unfortunately for him his is useless, superfluous, i-legendary and indisputable! … The kind of gift that wouldn’t have made neither Grimm nor Perrault write a line: Igor has the gift of containment.

But now, times are changing and so are tales …

On earth, a pandemic broke out and humans had to confine themselves for long months …

In order to get closer to them and to finally be able to observe them in broad daylight, Igor accepted their offer to give them back their freedom by confining himself to their place.

The pact was sealed. Igor confined himself …

… Little by little, the men took to the streets, theaters and cinemas,…

Behind his window, Igor now watches them evolve as he pleases, a real treat. He finds them beautiful, he finds them free and Igor in his own way, confined, also feels free …
