“RetiPiù, a company of the A2A Group, leader in the distribution of methane gas, electricity and smart services in the province of Monza and Brianza, in collaboration with the Municipality of Seregno announces a” call for street artists” for the construction of a masonry work that go to enhance the facade of a building located in the historic center of the Lombard municipality.

The building in question, a historic but recently renovated building, formerly the seat of the Veterans’ Club, is located on the corner of Vicolo Pozzo and Via Martino Bassi and is clearly visible from Piazza Vittorio Veneto, the heart of the historic center of the town of Brianza.

The Call for street artists is free to access, reserved for artists and professionals who are experts in the creation of large-scale Italian and international masonry works. The primary objective is the involvement of artists who propose their own sketches, specially designed for this facade, focused on the theme of music.

The most voted artist will receive € 1,000 gross from the Municipality of Seregno, as compensation for the construction of the work as well as a reimbursement of expenses for material, travel and construction costs up to a maximum of € 5,000.

The opera will be inaugurated at the end of September in conjunction with the 2021 edition of the Ettore Pozzoli International Piano Competition. This Call for Street Artists is created by RetiPiù, in collaboration with the Municipality of Seregno and Bepart Società Cooperativa Impresa Sociale, a cultural enterprise that will follow the stages of realization of the selected work.

“RetiPiù, società del Gruppo A2A, leader nella distribuzione di gas metano, energia elettrica e servizi smart in provincia di Monza e Brianza, in collaborazione con Comune di Seregno indice una “call for street artists” per la realizzazione di un’opera muraria che vada a valorizzare la facciata di un palazzo situato nel centro storico del comune lombardo. La palazzina in questione, edificio storico ma di recente ristrutturazione, già sede del Circolo dei reduci, si trova all’angolo fra vicolo Pozzo e via Martino Bassi ed è ben visibile da Piazza Vittorio Veneto, fulcro del centro storico della cittadina brianzola.
La Call for street artists è ad accesso gratuito, riservata ad artisti e professionisti esperti nella realizzazione di opere murarie di grandi dimensioni, italiani ed internazionali. L’obiettivo primario è il coinvolgimento di artisti che propongano bozzetti propri, disegnati appositamente per questa facciata, incentrati sul tema della musica.
Le proposte candidate saranno esaminate da una apposita giuria nominata dal comune di Seregno, che sceglierà la proposta vincitrice
L’artista più votato riceverà 1.000 euro lordi da parte del Comune di Seregno, quale compenso per la realizzazione dell’opera oltre a un rimborso spese a valere sui costi di materiale, trasferte e cantiere sino a un massimo di € 5.000
L’opera verrà inaugurata a fine Settembre in concomitanza con l’edizione 2021 del Concorso Pianistico Internazionale Ettore Pozzoli. La presente Call for Street Artists è realizzata da RetiPiù , in collaborazione con il Comune di Seregno e Bepart Società Cooperativa Impresa Sociale, impresa culturale che seguirà le fasi di realizzazione dell’opera selezionata.
