15/15 Neighbour looking for artists. In times of social distancing, Asalto Festival wants to expand the participation of artists and citizens in its program. With this proposal 15/15 project will connect 15 artists to 15 neighbours trough digital media to talk about the place they live in and where the Festival will took place on 2020 edition – San José neighbouhood in Zaragoza, Spain.

The conversation-inspired artwork will be part of the Festival and display the streets.
Artists who want to participate in this call, must do so through this link. The Festival organization will select the 15 artists who will finally participate on 15/15

In its 15th edition, the Asalto Festival has seen how the dialogue and proximity that occurs between citizens and artists each year had to be facilitated with other complementary communication models. For this reason, the participation processes will begin in digital media – questionnaires and video conferences – and will be completed with the creation of the works that will be exhibited between September 16 and 27.

Asalto 2020. Four participatory initiatives and twelve artists
The residents of the San José de Zaragoza neighborhood will have the opportunity to participate in the life of the Festival through other projects. With Sawu Studio, a large sculpture will be created to give life to the “nameless” square. The artwork will be designed from the structured information that reflects how people uses that space. This project is also ongoing and will be developed in different phases.

The Calixto Ariño-Hilario Val Primary School educational community, together with the artist Anna Taratiel, will transfer the geometry of their homes to a large mural that they will make in a collaborative way. Another large mural will be woven into a 25 square meter wall. This initiative by the Portuguese artist Aheneah will be developed in small groups and is open to the participation of the entire city.

Asalto 2020 will also count on the following artists: Akacorleone, Diego Vicente, Elbi Elem, Isaac Cordal, Karto Gimeno, Lidia Cao, Marta Lapeña and Slim Safont.
