AXE COLOURS New intervention in Sant Feliu 2017-05-16

AXE COLOURS New intervention in Sant Feliu

Adrià (Smaug) and Oriol (Gúma) are friends since childhood and began to paint in 1999. Interested in architecture, design and art, they decided in 2009 to dedicate themselves professionally to design and decoration for businesses and particulars.

This is how AXE COLOURS was born and since then they did many interventions. From some years now Oriol is fully dedicated to his architect’s career in London and Hong-Kong and Adriá is fully dedicated to AXE COLOURS, filling Barcelona with art inspired by famous TV shows characters, with his very particular colourist style.

For this month’s intervention he decided to create a tribute to Tommy Shelby, played by the actor Cillian Murphy, in the brilliant TV show Peaky Blinders.

AXE COLOURS

Project 12+1 Sant Feliú:
12+1 is a proposal put forward by the organization Kaligrafics with Contorno Urbano in Sant Feliú de Llobregat, and the second one after the 12+1 Contorno Urbano organizes each month in l’Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona).
The concept: 12 artists, 12 months, one wall 10m wide x 3m high, one artistic intervention per month and one final exhibition, presenting each of the artists’ unique work.12+1 is an open-air art gallery, one which changes each month. A unique vision which
problematizes the way we exhibit urban art, and the place of these artworks in the city.
The project is helped by the city of Sant Feliú de Llobregat.

You can find the wall at Calle Verge de Montserrat, 2, Sant Feliú, really near to the train station.Kaligrafics:
Organization founded in 1999, it’s the oldest non-profit dedicated to graffiti and street art in Cataluña, and one with more experience in Spain.
Kaligrafics transformed the city of Sant Feliú in the one with more urban art from the area and has a great experience in managing big size walls in dozens of cities from the Barcelona area.
