The city has always been a fascinating backdrop for artistic creation. The public space became a breeding ground for the realizations of the most important artists of their time. It is precisely such realizations, which lend the city its unique character and unmistakable cultural identity, that become the central theme of the SAFE 2025 festival. This year, the festival, which has long been dedicated to the dialogue between the city, art and its inhabitants, focuses on the reflection and reinterpretation of not only contemporary, but also historical artistic interventions that shape the face of the city.
Quality art in public space should always respect and enrich its surroundings, be a natural part of it. Unfortunately, in recent years, we have increasingly witnessed that many projects neglect this principle – instead of a harmonious dialogue with the environment, they disrupt it. It was this tendency that inspired us to focus the 18th edition of the Street Art Festival on critical reflection of existing or extinct artistic interventions in space. Through this festival program, we want to open a discussion about what a public space should look like, which is not only aesthetically valuable, but also meaningfully integrated into the life of the city and its inhabitants.
Proposals can be submitted until 25 July 2025.
It is crucial that the project reflects the curated approach of the Street Art Festival 2025.
The selection of the winning designs will take place in cooperation with an expert jury.
The implementation of the project must take place in the last week of August.

We are looking for an artist to design posters for the windows of the Market Hall building in Olomouc. The posters will be placed in the upper windows and should reflect the creative, urban and community spirit of the place. We look for visually powerful, imaginative designs that engage passers-by while telling the story of this space – its energy, its people and its connection to the city.
Organized with the support of the Czech Chamber of Architects.
You may consider a modest donation — however much you can afford, when it comes from the heart, it’s the kind of gesture that makes us warm with appreciation.
