The Madrid Street Art Project has recently curated and produced four new murals in Madrid’s downtown area, for the second edition of Urvanity art fair. These four works have been carried out by international artists or collectives with an extended career in street art:
Austrian/French couple Jana & JS, Russian artist Alexey Luka, Brazilian artist Cranio and Czech artist Jan Kaláb.
It has been a pleasure to work hand in hand with the artists in a week as creatively intense as it is the week of art fairs in Madrid, thus contributing to position street art as a steady alternative to established art.
The Urvanity team put their trust in MSAP once again, the sponsors Tuenti, Montana Colors and Montó.
Here is an overview of the four murals. Enjoy!
Jana & JS | Travesía Almendro, 9
Alexey Luka | Discoteca Changó | Calle Covarrubias, 42
Cranio | Colegio Asunción Rincón | Calle Jesús Maestro, 1
Jan Kaláb | Mercado Barceló | Calle de Mejía Lequerica, 10
You may consider a modest donation — however much you can afford, when it comes from the heart, it’s the kind of gesture that makes us warm with appreciation.
