Lucas is an urban artist, activist and muralist who was born and raised in Lanús in Argentina. (1982) His work combines writing with graffiti and the use of templates, posters and other procedures similar to the art of Banksy. His paintings are largely a criticism of political and social issues, in addition to showing the abandonment to which many people are sometimes expressed, they express some tenderness on their faces as hopeful symbols of a possible change. Sophia Hirsch lives and works in Halle and Berlin, Germany. Mainly a painter she uses big murals but also comics to adress social issues. Her work had been shown in various exhibitions internationally. Hirsch murals can be found in various places, including Germany, Poland or the USA.
Originally started in France, very little personal information is known about STRA, keeping his identity unknown allows him to keep his spirt & work free. STRA paints first by pure passion, he became addicted to the spray cans when he was still in Art School, throwing up his name around town. His art teachers were telling him to stop, there was “no future” in this kind of technique/world. Urban art was still raw and unconstitutional at this time. Of course he didn’t listen, kept going & elaborated his own techniques & style. (more…)
