The 3rd International Art Art Festival Patras | ArtWalk 3 is coming to an end for this year and the city of Patras will never be the same again. The tenth mural made is from a special group of artists, the Political Stencil and it depicts a famous old time comedian that is higly popular in greek modern culture.
About the artists:
Political Stencil is a set of people of random composition that emerged from a common necessity. A common element of all of them is the technique of stencil and its content, which directly or indirectly involves a political message and annotation. Political Stencil members are graduates of the School of Fine Arts and related graphic design schools.
They are defined as subjects beyond the interpretation of the law and define their action outside the framework of the dominant aesthetics. They give color, literally and metaphorically, to a gray and neutral urban cluster, aiming at one thing: striking the viewer’s soul in the center with the intent of causing his momentary awakening.
The latest fresco depicting the greek comedian actor Thanassis Veggos was created in Patras with the support of the Cinema Club of Patras, is located on the street of Dim. Gounari 146 – 156.
