New Mural by Murmure Street Garbage Bird 2019-10-02

New Mural by Murmure Street Garbage Bird

Murmure created this fine realistic artwork based on a series as the Garbage Whale but with a different approach with the rendering more realistic.

Garbage Bird : This large scale mural, titled Garbage Bird, was completed for the 2019 Pow ! Wow ! Rotterdam ! Festival this September. It is Murmure’s second mural from their Garb(age) project and represent a garbage bag bird, a zoomorphic trash that serves as a reminder to all the recent studies pointing out that by 2050, 99% of all marin birds will have ingested plastic.

With this artwork Murmure Street wants to raise awareness on the fragile nature of those animals that are among the first victims of human waste. Unlike the Garbage Whale mural this time Murmure Street aims for a more realistic rendering to emphasize the real nature of the situation and the ecological emergency to act.
