Sea Walls: Artists for Oceans

March 19, 2017 to March 26, 2017

Presented by Alternative Arts Initiative and Napier City Council, the second annual New Zealand festival will feature the work of over 20 renowned global artists, all coming together to paint for a purpose and give the oceans a voice via art and activism (ARTivism).

Sea Walls: Artists for Oceans is PangeaSeed Foundation’s groundbreaking public art program that brings the oceans to the streets around the world.

Through the help their supporting ARTivists, community partners, and volunteers, Sea Walls highlights the beauty and the plight of the world’s oceans and calls on individuals and communities to become better ocean stewards.

By collaborating with internationally renowned artists, they curate large-scale public murals and installations, organize community-based educational efforts and promote the importance of long-term sustainability of natural resources.
