CVTÀ STREET FEST IV edition check the website

June 13, 2019 to June 16, 2019

Increasingly international is the Street art festival in one of the oldest Molise villages in Italy: this year the invited artists will come from Argentina, Norway, Portugal, Germany and Italy.

The fourth edition of CVTA’ STREET FEST is coming. The original street art festival was born to revitalize the ancient village of Civitacampomarano, in the province of Campobasso (Molise, Italy), through the work of some of the most important and internationally recognized artists.

The Civitacampomarano Pro-Loco is the creator and organizer of the event; the artistic director is, from the beginning of the festival, renowned street artist Alice Pasquini.

This year five international street artists will transform the walls of the village: Milu Correch, a well-known artist from Argentina, whose murals and large-scale images create a world without limits; Martin Whatson, a Norwegian street artist known for his calligraphic scribbles and grayscale stencils; Add Fuel, aka Diogo Machado, a Portuguese visual artist and illustrator whose work on small and medium-sized tile panels, large-scale painted murals and printed editions reflect a chaotic world of unmistakably original and ironic motifs; Jan Vormann, artist, researcher, lecturer and founding member of T10 Studios in Berlin who often works with LEGO for the “dispatchwork project”, based on plastic construction pieces used to repair and fill holes in broken walls; and finally, from Italy, Studio Aira, whose works are multisensory landscapes that combine video, graphics, light, sound, architecture, and interactivity.

“I am happy to continue contributing to such special initiative which is carried on with passion and enthusiasm by the entire community – says Alice Pasquini – What astonishes me is to see everyone willing to get involved in this and to see places transformed and reborn through creativity, willingness to contribute, and, hopefully permanent, artistic touches.

“We are ready and are looking forward to the debut of the fourth edition of Cvtá Street Fest – states Ylenia Carelli, president of the Pro Loco of Civitacampomarano – Between art, music and gastronomy, we have planned four days of fun immersed in nature and street art. It’s not enough to say it, it really needs to be seen in person: each year the invited artists work on site to bring their creative vision to life in front of the visitors who delight us each year with their presence, and every year grow more and more numerous! ”

“This is an event that has brought vitality to our village – concludes Barbara Manuele, president of the CivitArt Cultural Association – and it is a window that can give visibility to the many aspects of our territory”.

The festival isn’t just art interwoven with the environment, but also music, cinema, literature and food and wine. Different experiences will season the event in a festive atmosphere aimed at sharing and reviving, through culture and participation, the Molise’s rich culture. This part of Italy, which suffers particularly from different natural wounds of abandonment and destruction, is nevertheless rich in heritage. The specific calendar of scheduled events will be announced in the coming weeks.

Main sponsor of CVTÀ STREET FEST 2019 is “Peroni Cruda”.
