ECB Wall for ArtWalk4 in Patras 2019-06-01

ECB Wall for ArtWalk4 in Patras

The International Street Art Festival Patras ArtWalk, has delivered yet another mural to the city! The fresco was completed by German artist Hendrik Beikirch, also known as “ECB“.The artist worked for 6 days with feverish rhythms to deliver another large fresco in Patras. The wall at 19 Favierou Street, now adorns one of its characteristic portraits with impressive contrasts!

Each one of the ECB‘s figures has a story to tell us. In his works he meets genuine single characters, who are becoming more and more exciting through their anonymity. The limited palette of colors and the impressive contrasts that characterize his portraits highlight the sensitivity of his subjects, while the scale of these works invites the passer-by to examine the relationship between the individual and society, viewer and subject. His frescoes are not only interventions in the urban landscape. They are our silent comrades in the city.

More information on the ECB can be found on its official website.

The mural was supported by the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Athens and Goethe – Zentrum Patras.

ArtWalk 4 is co-organized: the Region of Western Greece, the warm support of Greek companies of the major sponsors: the Chrysanthopoulos SA lifting equipment company and the VECHRO paint industry and the warm support of the audiovisual sponsor: Mediamarkt.

This event is also partnering with I Support Street Art – Media partner.
