Abu Dhabi Department of Transportation (DOT) is working on a project to promote the use of buses through public art mediums , improve the visual experience of bus riders, celebrate cultural diversity.
We are providing consultancy to DOT and we are looking for 10 urban artists who were involved in similar projects in the past.
DOT suggested a bus line with 5 major bus stops to work on. Our initial idea is to consider murals in walls around the 5 bus shelters but after site visits it was difficult to find a proper visible wall to the riders around the bus shelters.
Part of the Transportation Art Week Abu Dhabi is artists exhibiting their art works in the grand hall in the Abu Dhabi Central Station. Artists are also considered to participate in activity.
