MOOD INDIGO, the annual cultural festival of Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay is the “Asia’s Largest college cultural celebration”. Continuing with its 46 year old legacy, Mood Indigo will step into its next edition from 23rd – 26th December, this year. Mood Indigo has been successful in attracting a footfall of over 1,31,000 from over 1650 colleges across the country last year, featuring a plethora of events with more than 200 international artists from over 25 countries having graced the Mood Indigo stage hitherto.
As a purely student run Non Profit Organization, Mood Indigo strives to exhibit the vibrant culture of different countries from around the world to a youthful audience. Over the years, Mood Indigo has, with much success, worked to combine various mainstream as well as unconventional genres from India and also abroad to form one of the most popular and well organized college cultural festivals in Asia. With a target audience consisting majorly of the educated youth of India, combined with the huge popularity of our festival, Mood Indigo is certainly one of the best stages for you to showcase the vibrant talent of your country in India. Artists performing at Mood Indigo get huge media exposure and it gives them an opportunity to be a part of the booming entertainment industry in India. One of the best institutes of India, Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay is famous worldwide as a premier institute of engineering.
Mood Indigo has been visited by a lot of International Artists to create some Life Scale Installations and put up Art Exhibitions from various countries with expertise over a variety of materials. Mood Indigo has been home to Exhibitions from the Guinness Book of World Records and Limca Book of Records including Vintage Camera Collection, Coin collection and many more. Over the years, Mood Indigo has witnessed exceptional artistic performances by graffiti artists like Bustart from Switzerland, Seikon from Poland, Ardan from Turkey, Extreme Artist Jean Francois from France, Graffiti and street art by Loomit from Germany, 3D painter Tracy Lee Stum from USA. We have also had artists from countries like Malaysia, Finland, Croatia, Italy, Canada, Netherland, Israel, Argentina and many more who showcased their magnificent unique arts and exhibitions. The year 2012 saw World Fest at Mood Indigo, achieving greater heights with participation of contingents from Turkey, Indonesia, Poland and Spain together. Renowned rock bands like Simple Plan from Canada, and others like Karnivool from Australia and Porcupine Tree from UK, as well as EDM artists like Sander Van Doorn from Netherlands and Borgeous from USA have culminated their world tour with electrifying performances at Mood Indigo.
