Bifido in Maranola, Italy

The Spanish artist Bifido presented his latest work in Italy, located on an unusual spot for this type of art. The midevil tower with a backdrop view to the sea, is the font to his inspiring artwork.

“Last week i made a new mural in Maranola a small village in the south of Italy. I made it for “Seminaria” a contemporary art festival. This is my first time with a old woman subject. Last years in this village they had the drought during the summer. So i decided to work on this concept, an old woman who are wringing her hair.”

The title is : glass half full

Bifido (or Freeuno, name that began in graffiti) is a street artist and illustrator From Spain, raised in the Madrid district of Hortaleza in the 80’s. He likes to use symbolic compositions in many cases, mixing photorealistic elements with a surreal language.
Alongside his personal work (graffiti, canvas, prints …), he is director of the “Take Art Way studio”, where they give creative support to major international agencies advertising and events.
